Autism Awareness Day

Today we want to bring awareness to kids around the world with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Almost 70% of children with autism suffer from sleep problems causing naps, bedtimes and nightly wake-ups to be challenging for the whole family. Experts say that autistic children should sleep in their crib as long as possible, which will help provide strong physical boundaries to help them feel safe and secure. Providing a consistent routine is equally important.
Vertical Crib Liners are the ideal bedding for children on the spectrum, who need extra comfort, soothing and protection in their crib. Vertical crib liners are safe to use as long as your child is in the crib, there is no risk or danger to keep them on for years. We have heard from numerous parents how vertical liners helped their child sleep better and longer during naps and throughout the night. Not only do vertical liners bring comfort, they prevent many young toddlers, who like to rock back and forth in their crib, from hurting themselves.

Below are benchmarks for growing babies provided by the Autism Society. If your child is not meeting these developmental milestones, it may be wise to seek guidance from an expert or medical professional. Early identification is critical to long-term, positive impact on overall well-being and functioning.
