We have a 4 month old baby boy who is transitioning from his Pack & Play bassinet to his crib. My husband and I were very hesitant to put him into the crib without any form of padding on the sides of the crib. We know that many bumpers ,except the breathable ones, are not advisable to use in the crib. The breathable mesh bumpers, however, provided little or no padding that he would need from the sleeping Olympics he performs nightly. Just to get an idea, he moves up from the bottom of the crib to the front as well as making 90 degree to 180 degree turns from the positions we leave him - oh and he's a turner! I couldn't put him into a wooden crib knowing that his head would be hitting the sides on more than one occasion (and possibly waking him up). While researching bumpers I was ecstatic to find Go Mama Wonder Bumpers! They essentially provided all the things I needed for my wiggling-turner: the safety of providing padding for his head but also still allowing the space between the spokes on the crib to allow for breath-ability. I also love that they are reversible and you can have alternating or all one color. I bought it for my dark brown crib and they match pretty well! In the end, I have had them in use for a few days now and they are already providing their worth! He sleeps more soundly in his crib and I can sleep more soundly knowing that he'll be safe inside it!
Yes, they're expensive, but worth the piece of mind. When we were trying to get our LO to sleep in the crib, he hit his head hard enough to get a goose egg on it. Since we've gotten them, we don't worry anymore. He loves them and even play with them!
